The Monterey Peninsula Buddhist Women's Association has been an integeral part of the temple for many years.  In a very large part the success of the temple and Buddhism in America is attributed to the Fujinkai which is now called the Buddhist Women's Association.

 For years the women of the temple have been not only spiritual leaders, but have provided support in many different ways.  Throughout the years the women's association have held fund raising events in support of the Buddha Dharma.  Through their efforts many religious activities have continued for generations.

 With a new generation of women attending the temple the needs and the participation have somewhat changed.  What hasn't changed is the genuine spirit of the organization that supports and participates in temple activities.
